Hello everybody! This is blog post #3 and today I will be talking about my appearance on TV and recent auditions!
I was on TV the other day on Comedy Centrals’ “The Other Two”. It was the season finale and I was in three scenes of the episode playing a “Super Fan”. I interacted with most of the main actors and we got to film it at Radio City Music Hall! Filming for this was one of the best experiences of my whole life! It was all super surreal! You should definitely check out the show, it is on Comedy Central and it is also available here on YouTube and I-Tunes!
I had 2 auditions in NYC on Monday. The first one was a voice over at 11:00 A.M. and the second one was for a commercial at 5:30 P.M.! Obviously that means that once I’m done with the first audition we have to wait 6 hours for the second audition. So here’s how it all went down!
I woke up at 7 in the morning, ate breakfast, took a shower and got on the bus. We got at the city at like 10 A.M. and it was super cold and windy out! Sadly I was only wearing a Sweatshirt and a short sleeve shirt underneath. The first audition went great! I really liked the director and I got the vibe that he has no time for nonsense! He gave me the lines for 4 characters and I think I aced them. He said afterwards that I kicked butt! Now it’s waiting time. Since we had all the time in the world, we took the subway to Brooklyn to go to Champs Diner which is an amazing vegan restaurant. On our way to the diner, my dad and I were looking at all the beautiful apartments thinking about what it would be like to live in Brooklyn. Once we finally got to Champs Diner we had an amazing vegan milkshake and vegan buffalo chicken sandwich! But that only killed 1-2 hours of time so we planned on going to Rough Trade Records but we didn’t have enough time (because it was so far away). So we took the subway back to Manhattan. Once we got there we sat on a bench in the subway station for half an hour because it was still super cold.
Afterwards we went to Best Buy and the Lego Store so we could keep warm. Then we saw a table and chairs right next to the Flatiron park and sat there for a little while. It was probably one the best parts of the whole day because the sun was blasting right on us and it wasn’t as windy as it was before. We went into the audition and I did great! But I was in and out of there super quick. We wait 6 whole hours for a 5 minute audition where I said one line. Hopefully I got one of the parts! Usually around this time there is rush hour traffic but when we got on the bus there was barely no traffic!
Thank you for reading!
