If you have been watching WWE, you know that Mick Foley announced the brand new 24/7 championship a couple of weeks ago. This blog today will be about what I think of it. Lets get into it!
The first thing I want to talk about is the design! I know that a lot of people think that this design sucks but in my opinion I think this design isn’t that bad. I think they could’ve done a little more with the look but that might take the highlight away from the wrestler. Another note about this championship is that the plates on the side won’t ever have a name because the champions are constantly changing.
Now let’s move on to the storyline!
The storyline has a lot of potential to add funny moments every Monday and Tuesday night. In fact, it already has! R-Truth has been the longest reigning 24/7 champion and he entertains us every time WWE is on. I also love when he posts on Instagram with himself and the title. I hope he stays the champion a very long time. The first winner of the title was Titus O’Neil and that lasted about ten seconds until Robert Roode came out and pinned him. Another thing about this title that makes me excited is that it’s being defended at all times. I hope there will be a scene at one of these wrestlers’ houses or somewhere other than the WWE stadium. That would be REALLY cool.
One more thing I wanted to add is that there has already been a championship title like this a while ago called the Hardcore Title. It had the same rules as the 24/7 title. So why didn’t they just bring back the Hardcore championship so some of the longtime fans would be happy?
But overall, I am very happy and excited for this title. I hope it brings a lot of laughs and smiles!
