Happy Birthday to Peter Dinklage, A Huge Inspiration

Happy Birthday to Peter Dinklage!

Peter Dinklage is one of my all-time favorite actors ever and he actually filmed right next to where I wait for the bus to go to auditions. It was for his first big role in a movie called “The Station Agent” where he is just a dude who likes trains. In one of the early scenes, he is inside a train store and that exact train store is literally right across the street from my bus stop. Now that I know that, it gives me inspiration for any audition I have because he was in one of the best TV shows ever, “Game of Thrones”. There is another scene where he sits on a bench and watches the train pass by. When we drive to the bus stop, we see the bench that he sat on. I just think it’s amazing that he filmed right there…that’s where he filmed The Station Agent!! If you haven’t seen the movie, totally check it out. Especially if you are a young, aspiring actor looking for some inspiration. I hope one day I get to meet him or even interview him.

I also just recently read that Peter Dinklage had a rough start to his acting career. He lived in an apartment in NYC that shook every time a subway train passed by. He was also a data processor for a little while (just like my mom and dad) until his cat inspired him to get back to acting. It takes a lot of time, money, and hard work to do these auditions and this just shows how truly hard it is to become a successful actor. Sometimes my mom has to sell a painting or two as soon as possible in order to have the extra money for our bus tickets to the next audition. I’ve done around 175 auditions and I’ve gotten pretty close to getting big roles that would completely blow me out but a famous actor usually ends up getting the role. One day I WILL make it to that level and I don’t care if it takes me 48 years!

So I always look forward to my next audition, and I look to the empty train shop across the street at the bus stop every time.

I hope Peter Dinklage has an awesome birthday and Thank you for reading this blog!
