Elliott paid a visit to see Christopher Mazeika at his record Shop called Vinyl Altar in Philly to talk a little bit about the history of his store and to buy some records, of course! The shop specializes in metal and hard rock and is located just off South Street at 732 S 4th St in Philadelphia. It’s got a really nice vibe going and it is also located in a great area of the city.
In this interview, Christopher shows off some of his selection as well as the actual altar that he proudly displays in the back of the store. He also talks about metal music in general and some of his favorite bands, new and old. Christopher sees metal music as his “religion,” hence the name Vinyl Altar. He would love for you to come by and check out the shop when you are in the area. Record stores are a very special thing, especially in this day and age. So it’s important to physically go to a shop and pick up some vinyl to support their business.
