As most of you know, Slipknot’s new album “We Are Not Your Kind” hit number 1 in the U.S. and a couple more countries and is basically the number 1 metal album in the world right now! I’ve always respected Slipknot for being a great band and when I first listened to the new album I was blown away! The first of me hearing it, I went over to my local FYE and got the limited edition vinyl. I think this is going to be my favorite current album for a while.
After all of this, we tried for an interview for Jay Weinberg at Knotfest in Scranton PA and we were successful!
We got tickets for the show and got to watch Behemoth and Gojira before the interview (who were both awesome). We missed most of Volbeat but that’s okay! I was so nervous for this one because over the course of a few weeks I became a HUGE Slipknot fan.
Finally, the interview! We were backstage and when Jay walked in I couldn’t believe it! I had him sign my record and we started the interview! We talked about climate change, his dream planet, favorite metal bands and more! He was such a cool dude. I am so thankful he donated his time to a young fan and talk!
