Last weekend I had the chance to watch “IT Chapter Two” and I have to say, I enjoyed it very much!
It was good movie, it had lots of jump scares, a good story and a few parts that actually made me a little scared while some parts felt a little dragged out/confusing for me but that’s just my opinion. Another thing is that it felt more of a horror/comedy rather than a regular horror movie, but I think that makes the movie a little better. Although, I think I liked the one before this because it was a little more serious and scary. The newer one was more of a “fun” horror movie.
Something I think they a did a very good job with was the imagery. There is a carnival scene at night, it has awesome lights and it makes me wish I was there. They also make Pennywise look really crazy/creepy, Especially in the climax of the story. But Bill Skarsgård does an AMAZING job playing Pennywise. I love all the little nuances he does with his face when playing the part. Also, Bill Hader did a great job playing Richie and it’s pretty cool to see him play a more serious role. I like how they still added the kids in the movie for flashbacks too. So it’s not ALL about the adult version of themselves.
So if I were to rate this movie for how scary it is, it’s a 7/10. BUT overall a 9/10. I would highly recommend you see this in theaters before it comes out on Amazon or Netflix.
