I had the chance to interview Mike Howe from Metal Church! It was my very first Zoom interview and I think it went great! Let’s get into it.
Mike Howe seemed like such a kind and down to Earth guy. I loved what he had to say about the current situation with Quarantine: “I feel really bad for all the other musicians out there that had their tours canceled. Because it’s their livelihood as you probably know. Touring is one of the main ways that bands can make money nowadays. And so without that, it’s devastating, I’m sure. I feel for all my fellow musicians out there who can’t make that money.”.
I really hope everything gets better out there real soon. But all we could really do is keep positive.
I remember seeing Metal Church live a few years back with Megadeth, Amon Amarth and Suicidal Tendencies. They were incredible. I remember my mind being blown. That was the same day I interviewed Johan from Amon Amarth. Mike had a funny story from that tour about Johan at the end of the video. Click here to see what he had to say.
Metal Church’s new album “From The Vault” is an incredible album and it was just recently released on April 10th . It starts with 4 new studio tracks and my favorite song right now is “Conductor” because of its awesome riffs reminding me of old school 80’s thrash. There is also a bunch of unreleased B-sides from “Dammed From Within” and then they have few covers on there as well. I really love the production on this album and I think Metal Church is better than ever right now.
