Trevor of The Black Dahlia Murder: Yule ‘Em All and Reflecting on This Past Year

Elliott recently had a Zoom interview with TREVOR STRNAD of THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER to get some more details on the band’s upcoming holiday stream “Yule ‘Em All” which will be happening on December 18th at 7pm. According to Trevor, there will be some special guests, funny shorts, claymation segments, and performances in four different locations (Trevor also reveals how the band was able to do part of their stream in a church in this interview). The event will also be hosted by the standup comedian Neil Hamburger.

Trevor had this to say about the upcoming event:“We have four songs at four different locations and each one is cooler than the last, for sure. And the last stop is the church and that’s where we play the new stuff from ‘Verminous.’ And it sounds awesome, it looks awesome, and I think it’s the best representation of us live that we’ve ever revealed to the public. So we’re very excited about it.”

When Elliott asked if Trevor could name any of the special guests for the event, he responded with the following:“One big one, it’s somebody that everybody likes a lot in the death metal scene. That’s all I’m gonna give ya. [laughs]”

Trevor also told Elliott one of the main things that he wants for Christmas this year:“I really want Covid to be in the rearview for Christmas. I want all of us to wear masks. I want everybody to quit denying science that’s doing that, and to get this vaccine out worldwide.”

When asked which metal singer he’d love to give a Christmas present to if he could, Trevor answered that he’d love to give a gift to Dave Mustaine:“What would I give Dave Mustaine, though? Maybe a carnival grade cotton candy machine. A really good one.”

And when Elliott asked Trevor what gift he’d love to give to the world this Christmas if he was Santa, he replied with:“More green energy, more solar panels, more awareness of green energy. We need to start moving towards that direly if we have any chance of surviving as a race, basically. As corny as it sounds to be preaching this peaceful kind of hippy message, I want that for the world”And he then continued with:“I want new government. I want better government, I want peace, man. I want everyone to realize how smart we are as humans and to kind of start there, you know what I mean? Instead of being so divided.”
