It’s been a little while since I last made an update, so why not make one now when there is a a lot of cool stuff going on. Let’s get into it!!
First things first: music!! I have been recording all of my songs at home in hopes of eventually releasing an album. I’ve also been consistently writing songs in between to have as much music as possible before I decide to release it all!!
While I’m on the topic of music I want to mention both my “House of the Rising Sun” cover and my original “By the Train” videos. When I was trying to think of a new song to cover I wanted to experiment with my voice by utilizing my lower-range of my vocals. I was scrolling on Instagram and I found a video teaching the tabs of “House of the Rising Sun”and I was thinking “why not?”. I learnt the song on guitar, started singing it and within the hour I recorded it. For the video, my Dad had the idea of us going out to a cool/eerie hiking spot. The weather was perfect and the visuals were beautiful. I’m very happy with how that video came out. For my original song “By the Train,” I recorded a demo months ago and just recently revisited/rerecorded it. I came up with that song while messing around on my guitar like I usually do. This is the first video that we recorded with my new camera and it came out picture-perfect. We scouted two different filming locations at train stations and we got super lucky with how awesome the visuals were at the second location. I LOVED the lighting for the night shots.
I plan on filming a lot with this new camera and we’ve been experimenting with it at some of our favorite locations in NJ. Definitely the best Christmas gift I could’ve asked for!! It has also made the quality of my TikToks on a whole other level. This camera can make anything look like a Quentin Tarantino movie!!
Speaking of TikTok, my account on there is doing REALLY well. I’ve been having tons of fun talking about my record collection, past experiences and everything music. I love seeing all of the cool music suggestions in the comments, checking the music out and then discovering a new band to add to my catalogue.
