Hey everybody! Today I’m going to review Warbringer’s new album “Weapons of Tomorrow”. Let’s get into it!
Thanks to my friends on the official Little Punk People Discord, I decided to give this album a listen and wow! I love this album because it has an all-around incredible production. This album reminds me of something a band like Death would write. The reason why I say this is because most of the riffs have all those evil twists and turns that a band like Death would have in their music while keeping it melodic at the same time. On top of that, they have these evil sounding solos and breakdowns that I love. And huge props goes to the vocalist John Kevill for having the passion and energy that comes from his incredible, gut-wrenching voice.
Now I’m going to go into a few of my favorite songs on this album.
My absolute, number one favorite song on this album is “Defiance of Fate”. To me, this song screams Metallica “…And Justice for All” vibes. It starts with a beautiful, clean guitar interlude in the opening and then it goes into this epic distortion riff. Then it goes back into the clean channel with a solo. It’s a 7 minute song of EPICNESS!!
Another one of my personal favorites has to be “Crushed Beneath the Tracks”. When listening to this song, I picture a huge mosh pit. I love the dual guitars on this song. They sprinkle it here and there during the breakdowns and solos which I love because it makes me want to pick up my guitar and play Metal. I’ll definitely be going back to this song for inspiration for playing Metal.
The last song that I want to cover is “Outer Reaches”. I think I like the vocals the best on this album, mainly because he seems to sing the most on this song. I also love how they keep a fast pace throughout the song until they go into a brutal breakdown which sounds like a giant marching his way to domination. I love it when bands add a heavy headbanging breakdown section to their songs.
In my opinion, this album is all around amazing. Every song is consistently great. If I had to rate this album 1-10, I would rate it a 10. This album is something I needed in my life and will be purchasing the record as soon as possible! I hope you enjoyed this review and hope you have a nice rest of your day!
